🏢 About AIRS Medical

Untitled

AIRS Medical Inc., founded in Oct 2018, is a medical AI startup based in Seoul, Korea, that builds innovative products and services to improve patient experience and institutional efficiency in areas where productivity is limiting clinical value.

AIRS has demonstrated unparalleled deep learning technology in MR image reconstruction, consecutively winning 2019 and 2020 fastMRI Challenge hosted by Facebook AI Research (FAIR) and NYU Langone Health. This SwiftMR technology is a standalone software solution that enables up to 50% MRI scan time reduction without compromising image quality and has successfully been commercialized in Korea. Having earned FDA 510k clearance, it is now ready for the US market.

With the recent acquisition of AI-robotics-based startup, Artiq, AIRS aims to further solidify its unique market position of diagnostic efficiency as well as its monopoly of top-notch talents in AI and robotics. Artiq brings to AIRS a new product, AIIV, a venipuncture automation robot. The prototype is ready to undergo clinical trials in summer 2022 in Korea, with commercial launch targeted for the end of 2023, which will be the first commercialization of its kind in the world.

AIRS has recently finalized a $20 million Series B fundraising stage. The accumulated total of funds raised to date is approx. $35 million.

🧑‍💻 SwiftMR: A New Breeze to MR Imaging

Untitled

MRA_video.mp4

SwiftMR is a standalone MRI reconstruction software built upon cutting-edge deep learning technology that strikes an outstanding balance between image quality and scan time. It receives low quality DICOM as input and returns high quality DICOM as output.

With SwiftMR, institutions can reduce their MRI scan times by up to 50% and still achieve equivalent or even better image quality. It enables less rescans due to motion artifacts, higher throughput and revenue. Most importantly, reduced scan times greatly elevate patient experience inside the scanner with the added benefit of shorter wait in line.

The solution is easy to install and requires no hardware investment to run since it is provided as a SaaS via a HIPAA-compliant cloud platform. When integrated fully with the institutions’ PACS, image processing can run automatically, allowing for next to no disturbance to the existing radiology workflow. With a single installation, SwiftMR can boost the performance of the whole fleet of scanners, regardless of vendor, model, or maturity.

SwiftMR supports most widely used protocols for Brain MRI and MRA, Spine C/T/L, Upper and lower extremities, and has received green light from Korea’s MFDS and USA’s FDA 510k.
